  • 1996 SL900 Fuel Leak and Line Connection

Can anyone help me identify what hoses go where on the top of the fuel tank sending unit. I had the tank out, to replace the stator. It runs fine, but when it when I pulled it out this fall the hull was full of fuel. I can't find a leak anywhere, so I thought maybe I had the reserve and vent fuel lines crossed.

Has anyone else had this problem?

On a side note, as it was sitting in my heated shop this winter I opened the gas cap and it had pressure in the tank, which also leads me to thinking that it wasn't a leak, though as I'm typing, if the gas was shut off that may have prevented a leak in a bad line.

Look at the top of the sending unit there should be letters that indicate reserve, return, vent and fuel out.
