  • Clean plug

On a new to me pro 1200 the forward plug showed no sign of wear (ie brown color) after running a full tank of gas. Cleaned jets on all three carbs, changed plugs again, compression 140 on all three cylinders, plug has spark when removed and lying on cylinder head.
Also ran motor for a short time with only front plug connected.
    Should I ride it.

    Re: Clean plug

Ride it for a few minutes to see how its running, just dont run it wide open until you check the plug after a good warm up. After its warms up, ride it wide open for 10 seconds then pull the lanyard, glide to a stop and pull the plug and see if its got any color on it. If the ski is running good after this and the plug doesnot have any color on it then that cylinder is running rich and the cylinder is staying cooler then the other 2. At this point just ride it, if you have problems with this plug fouling out then you may have to adjust or change the high speed jet in the carb.
