  • 640 carb trouble

I recently posted asking about a 640/770 engine swap. I decided to try and it and it fits! I am working with a 1998 ts640 and 1998 ts770. I now have the 640 engine in the 770 and all mounting points, wiring and drive coupling work. I am having some trouble with water lines, but think I have that licked. My main question right now is about the carb on the 640. I took the fuel lines off without marking them (stupid I know) and can't remember how to hook it up. The 640 has 3 ports on the carb. I have two fuel lines in the 770 ski. I think there's also a line coming from the engine that was connected to the carb too. I need to know what lines go where. I also have an issue with the exhaust. Can I use the 640 exhaust except for the can right before the exit? Not sure of proper names, but any info wpuld be great. Thanks!

    Re: 640 carb trouble

Lower fuel line should be the inlet line, upper is the return and nipple on the back of the fuel pump is the pulse line from the crank case.
