OK- I have my flywheel off. I did the rope trick when I removed the center bolt from the flywheel. I left the rope in during all my trial-and-tribulations in getting the flywheel off. Now the rope won't come out as I assume the piston has wedged it against the top of the cylinder. Can a somehow crank the engine backwards to release pressure on the rope? If so, how would you recommend doing that without creating a need for more repairs?
