flywheel 1996 GSX

Good day. Ok I have looked all over town for a flywheel puller with no luck. So my friend had these puller he said would work and it did get it out. However could I have missed up the cup. He hooked it up to the two rised things on the cup and it pulled the flywheel right out. But it did lift a little metel up on them. so it no longer smooth. Whould that hurt anthing when I put it back togather?

The raised part is the trigger point for the ignition, if you damage it then you may not have ignition signal.
