I need to install a primer kit for my GP 1200 '98. Does the kit feed a prime to all three cyclinders or to just one? Does the kit come with instructions that are fairly easy to follow?

There is a primer line that goes to each carb. I have a riva primer on mine. The instructions were poor so I had the yamaha dealer put mine on. When it as done I looked at it and realized how simple it is. One line T's into the reserve fuel line. Another line goes out of the primer and T's off to each of the carbs. If you are mounting it where the choke handle is you may have to drill out the hole so the primer handle will fit. My 98 GP1200 was hard to start. After putting on the primer it starts easy. It takes a little getting use to. I pump the primer a few times and when I feel the pumps getting firmer I know the fuel if flowing thru it. I hit the starter button and usually only two more pumps while pressing the stater and it fires up.
