have a 96 montego dlx that will not draw gas from the tank. when I remove the fitting from the top of the tank, it is just a barbed fitting??!! should there be a line on this that goes down into the tank? I applied a hand pump(for draining oil in inboards)into the gas line and it will not draw fuel from the tank. tried it from the fitting as well. have 3 ts' in the yard, but they look different. this one has the fuel selector feature (on-off-reserve)

The barbed fitting should have a tube that goes to the bottom of the tankSBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.

thanks so much. I did "rob peter to pay Paul" (whatever) when I went to another shark in the yard ( I'm blessed with three) and it did have the same set-up ( I originally thought it was different) and saw the pick-ups. So now I have to look for stiff lines and fit a screen on the bottom to replace those. do not understand why original was missing BOTH of these? but that is a BASKET case. it's what I do. help people that the repair yards turn away b/c they are junk!!!Comment
