  • 2004 Honda F12 engine installation question.

I purchased a rebuilt 2004 F12 engine last week from you folks and am putting it back together. When installing the crankcase cover the manual specifies 3 Joint Pipes (see attached picture). When I took the motor apart I was very careful to place every part/bolt into categorized ziploc bags, and I only have one Joint Pipe. I took pictures of the engine before sending to SBT, and I clearly did not leave any Joint Pipes in any of the passages. Also, the one Joint Pipe I have will only fit into the center passage on the block, the two outer passages are too small and not machined with a deeper cut to accept the Joint Pipe in the same way the center one is cut.

Do you know if three Joint Pipes are used in all 2004 F12 engines or are there some versions that only use one Joint Pipe?

I hope the image works, the only way I could think of attaching a URL was using Facebook.

    Thanks,

    Gary Antonellis (727-415-4444)

Not all the engines have the 3 pipes
