  • Handlebars Are Crooked/Turned To The Right

Hello, in order to keep my 1996 Polaris SLT 780 going straight the handlebars have to be turned to the right. Similar to a car that pulls in one direction. How do I go about making them straight? If I have put them dead straight the ski will do a left turn about 25 degrees.

Thanks in advance for your replys.

adjust the steering cable at the jet pump or at the handle bars, or both locations.

Ok, if doing it from the jet pump location, I'm assuming I just remove the nut and then start twisting the cable to either lengthen or shorten the length of the cable?

Ok, I removed the bolt and nut from the rear of the ski. Turned the cable until the bars would be straight but there is a ton of tension on the cable now. It is trying to twist back if you know what I mean. I'm scared to rebolt the cable due to it possible breaking under the tension. Am I doing something wrong?

You adjust the cable ends, the cable should not twist
