  • TS 650 Flywheel Bolt "flew"

Hi, I have a 92 TS 650, she has been running great up to last weekend, when she suddenly died after we hear a "pop" sound from engine bay. We tried starting her but all we could hear was the starter spinning. The first thing that run through my mind was the bendix, so I took the engine out to change bendix, but I found the fly wheel cover with a huge hole in front and the bolt that holds the flywheel was at the bottom of the engine. The engine turns over freely, so I am guessing that I only need to replace the flywheel key and the flywheel cover. Has anyone had this problem? What else should I look for?

    Thanks for all your help.

Make sure your oil pump moves freely, thats a first for me on seeing the bolt back out.
