  • New Starter will not seat correctly

Yamaha xl1200 1999 . The old starter is out and was froze. I have new starter and it will not slide in far enough to bolt up. I have the correct starter. I am working around the manifold and only took off the exhaust pipe. Any help would be appreciated. Especially since I am almost ready to burn it to the ground.

Re: New Starter will not seat correctly

Does the new starter have 1 or 2 o-rings on the snout of it, the 800 aftermarket starter may be easier to install, its slightly shorter using 1 o-ring, the other 1 will fit but is a pain in the *** to install.
