I just put in a new SBT engine in my 2000 Waverunner 1200 XLT. The engine starts fine, but takes about 10 minutes to warm up and after sitting for only a couple of minutes it requires warm up. If I try to give it throttle it dies. Also I've noticed that the throttle tends to stick, but if I prime the engine to start it again the throttle works OK. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Cold-natured and throttle seems to be sticking
Ive never known Yamaha 2 strokes to require more than a few minutes at best to warm up and idle fine on their own without goofing with the throttle. You may want to adjust the throttle adjustment screw to get it to idle correctly, it may not be a carb issue at all. A worn out loose throttle cable can be the culprit real easy too.
