  • Polaris mfd high voltage reading

Hi , I have a 95 polaris SL750 the Mfd was faded to a point it was no longer readable. so i purchased a good used one on E-bay. After installing it everything seems to work well except the voltage is reading 14.0 volts before even starting the ski and while running it reads nearly up to 17 volts so i shut it down and got out the trusty meter and checked it through the battery while running it, it was only putting out about 14.5 so everything is ok as far as the voltage regulator go's so then i followed the procedure for calibrating the mfd several times. and still the voltage reads high, so my question is , is this normal for the mfd to read higher than actual voltage or is there a way to fix it ?? any help would be appreciated thanks !!!

I don't know of any way to fix the voltage reading, as long as the voltage reading going to the battery is correct then I would live with it, these gauges are harder to come by now.
