  • 1992 Waverunner 3 cooling

First time posting ! I am rebuilding a 1992 WaveRunner 3 . Piston skirt broke off and one rod-crank bearing is bad. Does anyone have a cooling water flow diagram. The small 1/8" cooling port on top of the head was plugged , was wondering if this goes to the muffler silencer ?
How important is this line , im sure its been plugged for awhile?
Also , after i am done with the engine , should i premix ??

    Thanks for your help !!

The 1/8 line from the head goes to the small 1/8 nipple on the forward part of the exhaust. Most guys plug it off when installing aftermarket exhausts so its not such a big deal if you can't clean it out. Go to pre-mix and use 40:1 as a ratio.

Thank you for your fast response. I will premix @40:1. Another question, i would like to install a analog temperature gauge and cooling water flow indicator (pisser) . Where would be a good spot to put a sending unit for temp ? Can i just tee into the return cooling line for a indicator(pisser) . ?

The best place would be to tap a fitting into the head.
