Testing Procedure for 1995 Yamaha CDI unit 63-M

Does any have the procedure to test the CDI unit? Having problems with a 1995 Yamaha which runs great for about 5 minutes and stops as if you pulled the lanyard. Starts back easily and may run great for another minute and dies again. Any help would be appreciated. The stator test good, compression is good, Carbs rebuilt fuel pump rebuilt.

Is this a 94-97 waveraider? If so this should work.
