  • 2001 GP800R Carb settings (pop off)

Totally confused here, in browsing the threads I see people state the stock pop off setting on this ski is around 75lbs, on the pdf file in the tech support section it says 45-55.

    Why the differences?

This ski is bone stock with the exception of an aftermarket impeller, it has .25 over pistons installed.

Got 2 rebuild kits on the way, just want to make sure it is set right since the carbs are so easy to remove.

    Thank you!

    Anyone?

Kits came in today from SBT, got the pump side ready, waiting on any input, I guess 75 being the stock number is what I'll go with!

Spec book calls for a 1.2 needle and seat along with a gold spring which equals approximately 75PSI

Thank you! Carbs are running 85-90 right now with black spring and "shiny" silver spring from kit, the other 2 (silver) give me about 50 and 40.

Guess I'll work on trimming springs tomorrow!

        Thanks again.
