  • SL750 spits oil out of cylinders

    hello all,

I own a 1994 sl 750. Had it in storage for 8 years. Has fresh SBT engine in it installed in 2006, about 50 hrs on it. Just pulled it out of storage. Hit crank button and eng quickly stopped cranking. Pulled plugs and hit crank button, oil started spitting out each cylinder. I cranked for over a minute thinking it was left over fogging oil but the material keeps coming out. Color matches oil injection. Is it an oil check valve issue?

No oil check valves on that Polaris that I know of.
The oil pump may have let oil bleed through while it was sitting.
I would check the oil pump for operation.
