I am rebuilding a Kawasaki 900 zxi and I need to get into the engine block however I am completely new to this and need to know how to get the seals to break without damaging the engine. How do I go about getting the block apart? Is there any device for doing this and can I make my own device? Thank you

Remove all bolts holding case halves together.
Use a rubber or plastic dead blow mallet to separate halves.
There is no special device, just firm impact in areas that can take the impact.
Be careful not to hit parts of the case that are not reinforced. -

Use a little heat and some large screwdrivers and pry where the case allows and is strong enough...Do this gently and with caution...Shumbo Marine and Jetski 860 391 1650Comment
