Help with new to me 1st ski

Just got my 1st ski, It's an old one a 1990s wave runner III with a J650A engine. It only has a fuel tank and I've been told that it's 4 stroke buy the guy I got it of though I'm not convinced about this so my first question then, is it a 2 or 4 stroke and if it's a 2 stroke did they come out as a premix tank set up origonaly or has this been modified thanks.

All PWC's were 2 stroke engines until 2002. Then they started to change over to 4 stroke engines.
The oil pimp is normally in the front cover, but your front cover has been changed over and there is no oil pump mounted there.
Someone must have converted it to premix.

Thanks for the info, I thought as much, I just can't see where the oil tank should have been not much room in there for anything else.
Also on another note the battery tie downs are missing where would be the best place to source them from?

Thank you for all your help, I have another question if you could answer I would be greatful, there is a pipe looks like a vent pipe running from the top of my fuel tank to the carb, is this a fuel return or an evap (unikely I know it has a tank vent as well running to the front of the ski) thanks

The pipe in question is the one between the res and on, it runs from there and attaches to the carb next to where the fuel in pipe from the pump ataches. In the carb pictures the pipe in question is the one without the cover/split wrap.

It looks like the return to tank fuel line.
