  • 1992 GTS full throdle cutout

At 75% throdle, my 1992 GTS runs rough. I am sure that it is starving for fuel. The engine skips every 1/2 second. I can back off to 74% and it runs great. I had a shop rebuild the carb with no success. Other than that, it starts fine and runs fine. Any suggestions?
    Thanks,

Have you checked the inline fuel filter under the bars? Also try running with the fuel filler cap 'cracked' incase it's a problem with the tank breather. Make sure there's no chance of water getting in the tank when you do this.

Just for kicks, look at the rubber piece glued to the hood that is susposed to help keep water from entering the fuel vent hole that comes out of the deck by the steering head. If the impression in the rubber foam indicates that the foam is covering the hole, you may have found your problem. If not, remove the carbs and check the internal filters yourself.
