  • 1996 kawasaki sts 750 hose routing. overheating

1996 Kawasaki sts 750. split hose from water box to rear end of blue exhaust pipe. pisser had good flow on river. was heating up couldn't touch water box. short fat hose split. i had water flow to exhaust manifold and block although very hot pistons didn't seize up. It smoked and limped back to the ramp. questions 1. can I drill holes in gasket at exhaust manifold to allow more water into exhaust system jacket. 2. Can cavitation cause the jet pump to not suck in cooling water? 3.other than making sure all intake cooling water hoses are clear how can I test to make sure im getting enough water to cool my exhaust flow? 4. do i need to prime all hoses with water.5. Is there a free pdf for a supplement that describes water flow and proper hose routing. There was one for my 1994 seadoo xp. 6. what am I doing wrong or missing. ? please advise? Maybe I hooked the hoses back up incorrectly?
