  • RPM tester

Hello, I have 1995 GXT with 657 x motor. 145 compression in both cylinders. I have replaced all grey lines, replaced fuel filter and rebuilt carbs. I do not have a rpm tester to set idle speed. What do you recommend? Thank you

1500 RPM in the water, 3000 RPM out of the water.

The 1995 GTX does not have a tach. What tool do I need to see what rpm the motor is running at? Thank you

There are several types of tachometer tools available.
The easiest to use is a laser tachometer tool.
        There are inductive type tools.
and there are mechanical types that you hold against the flywheel to measure.

Is there a tachometer I could install that would or could replace the paddle type that sits on the ride shoe? 94 657x.

The paddle wheel is to measure water speed (MPH) not engine speed.

Is the rpm gage on the Kawasaki STS 750 measuring engine revolutions . or is that a speed sensor also. Thank you for answers. We all benefit from your experience.

I would like to be able to measure rpm at a glance on this Rotax 657x.
