Default Not your average PV Servo motor question..

Ok, Ive got a 66E motor in my 99 GP800 and a 66V Power valve servo motor. The two do not work together. What kind of signal do these powervalve servos look for? Are they PWM? Logic high, logic low? Frequency? Or is it a matter of sending the signal line to low and keeping it there? Or high maybe? Ive done SO MUCH reading about power valve servo motor issues and nowhere does anyone give info on exactly how they're operated. Ive got a scope, power supply, meters all the good stuff, I just need somewhere to start. Anybody have any info on this?

    Thanks in advance!

Yamaha manuals do not provide that much detail.
