How do you test if pulse line coming from motor to carb is working? How much pressure / vacuum should it have to operate the fuel pump?

Ok, this may not be best test.
I pulled spark plugs, then pulled pulse hose off block.
Put my finger over pulse hole and turned over motor, felt slight pulse ( vacuum/pressure).
Used plastic tube off carb cleaner spray can and knocked out carbon build up.
Reran test and lots more pulse. reconnected pulse line to mag carb and turned over motor and lots more fuel
out of return line.
But there should should be a test of actual number of psi of vacuum/ pressure.
