  • first time starting new SBT engine

I am installing a 657x from SBT. I will be using the oil pump block off and using premix. I know I need to keep the oil tank hooked to the engine to lube bottom end but I don't see any instructions on how to make sure enough oil is in the bottom end for the first start. If I hook up the lines and see oil flow down the line to the block then is it safe to assume it's getting enough or is there some way to prime it?

As long as you see oil in the lines going to the bottom end you will be fine. Gravity will provide enough oil to the bearings to keep them lubricated.
