  • GOOD alternative to Sea-Doo Synthetic

Does anyone know for sure of any aftermarket oils that will be as
good or better (and hopefully a bit cheaper) than OEM Sea-Doo
Synthetic. I have been trying to compare specs. It is always better
to find out from someone who has been there before. It looks like
so far that Amsoil products have some pretty good oils .......by
their specs. Sometimes those numbers don't always tell all of the
story ! Would appreciate an EXPERIENCED response if possible.
I still have the injection system intact. Thanks

You need to tell us what engine or ski you're talking about...

Then you need to make sure it has a low ash content, as opposed to no ash. I believe both AMS/Oil and Maxima have low-ash blends.

Thanks for that , Bryan. Do you think that the ordinary oils
(synthetics) would be OK for a slightly modified engine, or
should I step up to the racing or high performance types ?

The 'normal' synthetic oils like Yamalube, XPS(2), AMS/Oil, Maxima, etc. are more than good enough for modified skis.
