If you are 100% certain your fuel system is good, I would be replacing your stator next.

tech, ya think i could have a bad connection on the stator...where the plug goes in through the front mag cover.....could that cause this? Cause the fitting is loose in there

and also, would a bad rectifier cause symptoms like this?

Any bad connection could cause that, yes. I'm really not sure if the rectifier would do that, or be heat related.

ok tech, i'll get back with ya. I'll go through all connections, from the MPEM to the stator, and see if that does anything. I will also get a better gauge and do another leakdown and see the results and i will get back in touch. Time to pop the front cover again, oh well don't take long.

            Thanks for the help

check to see if your charging and not over charging , if so then you might have problems in the rect, or stator .

your ski runs off the battery if you drop under 12volts you will not have spark .

to test if you have a recifre problem just unplug the red wire from it then run the ski , if your problems go away 99% its that , if not keep looking , backfiring can be a bad { anything lol } seal or air leak / lean carb/rectier/stator/ also an air leak will foul plugs .

Ok, i got the cover off and this is what i found.

Unbolted the pump, there was oil behind it on the rubber part of the rear of the pump, little dripped out the cover.

Popped the cover and there was tad bit of oil on the stator.

does this sound like my new pump is shot, or a outer crank seal. And if that pump was leaking out that rear seal, would it cause this?

I checked and cleaned all connections, could'n find anything out of the ordinary...but have not tested and wires.

Bare with me guys, for i have many issues.

Left the oil pump off for about an hour or so, it appeared to leak more oil out the back seal, where the spindle is. And also, is that shaft supposed to move in and out at all, cause mine does.

second, pulled the fuel bowl off, it still had what appeared to be mixed gas(had a blue look to it). After draining it and running over 2 tanks, shouldn't that excess oil be gone?

Third, this time i looked really close at the o-ring for the bowl, it seems to be stretched, cause i can get it to fit around 75% of it, then theres a gap.....could that cause this problem if it's not in there right?

Thanks guys for baring with me here, think i have a few issues here....who knows what else i'll find.

ignore part of this post. I got the o-ring to fit, but upon further inspection....i noticed half of it was flattened a bit. Could this cause a major air leak, cause there was no gas leak.....causing my particular problem?
