  • carb kit instructions???

I just downloaded the "engine installation/carb kit" instructions, and it's the same booklet that came with the engine...only there's no carb kit instructions with either one!

Is that a mistake, or am I missing something?

oops...sorry. I found them down at the bottom. I thought they were both the same instructions.

My hi speed screw has a stop on it that prevents removal. Actually, I can only turn it about 90 degrees? Should I grind this off?

what year and model ski do you have?

And no, you should not grind the high speed adjuster off.

If it only turns 90 degrees something is wrong and i would not try to force it, or you will be sorry.

      Advice for this guy anyone?

It's just a plastic cap, pull it right off.

          It's a 96 GTX.
and yes, it's a tab that was built to keep the hi screw from turning more than about 90 degrees.
Why would they do something like this???

it's just a limitor cap....it's there to keep the screw from backing out while the engine is running and vibrating

            I think anyways......LOL

Actually it's just to keep someone from turning the screw in to far. If the screws are backing out, the springs on them are corroded and need to be replaced.
