  • Pin connectors an a 787 trigger pickup

Got everything apart and ready for the install but now the tough part. How do I install the new tigger pins in the connector that mounts to the mag cover?
Can this be done without a specialized tool.

    Thanks
    Jim

No. The tool is readily available at any NAPA or other auto parts store. It costs $8.00

Those are GM type connectors. It is called a pin connector detent tool.

Bill, that is the deutsch connector in the mag cover, not a GM weatherpack. I'm pretty sure you can pull out the orange thing and then the pins fall out. Bill answers lots of questions on this board.. I'm sure he just read the question too fast.

Bill, Thanks for the720 case-brace. It arrived in NC the end of last week.

You are right. Using a pointer, you can push back the pin holders after removing the orange center piece of the Deutsch connector, the wires and pins pull out the back where the orange rubber watertight shield is. Be gentle.
