I am replacing the wear ring on my 95. went to cut it out but there is no notch in the housing like tech explained. Is there a better way to get it out.

They say to cut it off but that takes too long for me and is a little hard. I just take a screwdriver and pry up the lip a little, not very hard just work around all sides. Once it is up 1/2" you can grab it and by rocking it will lift out. Make sure it is not one that has screws holding it in place. Remove them first. When you put the new one put it in the freeses for 1/2 hour then spray it with WD-40 it will slide rite in by hand.Providing mobile JetSki service to the Charlotte / Lake Wylie area. -
got it out but the tech says to use lock tight. is this nessesary? noticed you said to lube it with wd-40?Comment

I am not sure if it is a problem if you dont use it. I've never used it before and have had no problems. Did the original one have it? How could you get it off it you did?Providing mobile JetSki service to the Charlotte / Lake Wylie area.Comment
