SD 800 Port Timing

Hey SBT!!!! DUDE, SWEET!!

Can anyone tell me what the port timing is for the SD 800, I just want to verify it to make sure its gunna run well, and to also make sure the base gasket is the correct thickness!! It has a .5mm one in it.

Sorry, we have never measured the port timing of the engines, we don't modify it so we don't need to. Unless you've decked the bottom of your cylinder or incorrectly sleeved your jugs you don't need to verify it though...your base gasket thickness is more to adjust your squish than the port timing.

That ok, it was just something I'd read about base gasket thickness not being correct and altering port timing and not getting the most out of the engine. I mean the gasket being to thin and holding revs down, or maybe it was not being what size it was meant to be, ie a .5mm being .4mm Thanks
