front cover hinge

I know this is more of a motor tech site but I'm sure someone has had this problem. The engine cover hinge area is broken on my 98 XP. My friend that broke it tried to patch it with some fiberglass but it didn't hold up. Anybody know where I can find a replacement besides the dealer? Thanks for any suggestions......

Call some of the salvage dealers like Dunnavants, Havasu Cycle and PWC Salvage, M&M Marine. You can place a wanted ad on many of the websites such as this one.

if it is the actual hood that you need, i have a couple. both are new, but have a few minor scuffs on them. would sell one for 150.00 shipped or the other is a little better looking for 200.00 shipped to any of the 48 states. both are real presentable, and usable. excellent shape structurally,they are both yellow. again they are new, never used. hood shell only as they come from seadoo. can email some pics, let me know if i can help. zig

That is an excellent deal as the lowr hood piece is around $400.00 plus new.

great price , i need a hood for my sons 99 xpl { just replaced it and some *** broke it off } i think it was backed into :-( i have found the stuff to fix brokin hoods :) this stuff will not give lol .

thanks bill. i have many others too, keep me in mind. most priced from 100.00 to 200.00 + ship. i have seadoo gt, gts, gti, gtx, from early 90's to 2000+ thanks again zig
