  • 1995 Seadoo 657X

I bought this ski from a friend. He got salt water into the engine and let it sit for a year. The ride plate and engine are terrible and I would like to find a complete engine with starter, carbs, flywheel etc. What are my options? What other engines will fit into this ski. I am having a hard time finding a 657X complete engine. I see others listed. What parts are different between the 650 and 657X?

    Thanks

The differences are internal. If you can find a complete block, you can swap them, although you will lose about 5 HP if you put a standard 657 in there.

The 657X deck height is different. The crankcase is thicker and stronger. The crankshaft is stronger. The magneto flywheel is different and not interchangable, as is the stator. The head is different.
