  • 94 XP Battery

    Hi,

I just purchased this about 2 weeks ago.
I have alot of little problems that I can live with but would like to fix.

    Ok, here we go:

Yesterday, I rode the jetski for the first time, there was alot of bogging and rough idleing, though I got rid of most of that by draining the fuel tank and putting in new plugs. Do the plugs have to be gapped, right now they are gapped at 30.

Ok, when I went to ride it today, the engine cranked over a few times and wouldnt start, meaning I tried to start it about 4 or 5 times and the battery went dead. The battery looks brand new and I was told by the previous owner that it was less than a year old. Is there anything that could cause the battery to die so fast? Do these things have altenators?

I also noticed a vacuum hose that was lying around disconnected, one end of it went to the front starboard wall of the boat. Should that be connected to anything on the other
    end?

Last problem, I noticed on the top of the engine there are two metal connectors and they have a symbol of a temperature gauge on them, there is nothing connected to them.

Thanks for any help you can give me!

    Freddie
