        ok tried the screwdriver still nothing.could be bad cables ski came lived in fla and you could tell

            ok hooked straight to starter engine did turn over .held screwdriver head on solenoid and thumpin on handle so do i need new solenoid or new cables or both

              Definitely a cable, can't test the solenoid until you have a good connection.

                Did it fire off when hooked straight to starter. Yes i ride Lanier it is very full now.

                  not solenoid went to dealer put new in put new cable ends on still nothing.could it be bad ground?

                      Did you sand down the connection on the starter where the ground hooks up. Mine was staring sometimes and sometimes not doing a thing and it was where the cable hook at the starter.

                        took starter off sanded down,that was the problem!is firing but will not run ,having my carb rebuilt or gonna try it myself dont know about them carb but might try ,already have the kits just wanted to see if it would run.got timing set as close as i possibly could looks like the back carbs not getting fuel,thanks for everybodys help but anymore suggestion will be greatly appreciated

                          Another hint i went thru every aspect of the carbs trying to get my to run and it came down to no fire on plug wires. Take plug out put on cap hold with rubber handled pliars or if tough just hold with hand out tip of plug next to ehast bolt and look for a spark on both of them. If really tough just put finger in plug cap. (just kidding dont do that )

                            Did you connect the pulse line you mentioned at the start of this thread - you need it to pump gas to the carbs.
