97 Gs fuel Tank Filter

Is it possible to disconnect and remove the fuel tank filter / pick up assemlby without removing the tank form the boat?? I am assuming ou have to slide the tank forward for additional clearance.
ANy info will certainly be appreciated..

All you need to do is make enough room to lift the baffle out - you don't need to pull the tank. On some models (I don't recall specifically what needs to be done on yours, sorry) you need to remove the steering assembly.
