  • 951 head bolt/stud loctite?

Factory Seadoo manual says use to use 242 loctite on lower part of studs that go into upper crankcase and torque to some minimal value. Where I am confused is on the upper part of the studs and head bolts themselves. I believe the manual says to use grease on the threads and loctite under the bolt head. Is this a mistake in the manual? It would seem you would use loctite on the threads and grease under the bolt head.

You can use blue loctite on everything and be safe.

The genuine oem Sea Doo manual say's to use blue loctite 243 on the threads of the clyinder block studs and under the heads of the bolts, but to use synthetic grease on the clyinder bolt threads.

Is the recommendation to follow the OEM manual or loctitie the threads?

You can't go wrong with the OEM way, however I know just loctite works too - we've done thousands that way.
