  • GSXL Intake Grate

People have been reporting very good results with the Worx grate.

    Nick,
The intention of the scoop grate is to scoop water and feed the pump. On glass water, anything that increases the pump feeding load will reduce speed, by increasing drag.

The addition of a more agressive grate can increase your *average* speeds through rougher waters, but will hurt you on glassy waters.
At best, a good grate is somewhat of a trade-off in that respect.

Worx and R&D both offer a decent aftermarket grate for your boat.

What is the best Intake Grate for a 1999 GSX Limited? I am looking for increased lowend performance and topend performance. I am getting my carbs fixed and most likely getting new filters put on ProK??

The worx grate on that boat will cost you 1 mph. I am using a R&D Aquavein and haven't lost any top speed...
