  • SD 785 intake

    I have a 97 785 SD,that i'm having the stock
carbs reworked to 42mm. I am planing to match
the intake opening to the carb base,so to do
this i'ved removed the intake and also the
oil inj. nozzles by applying some heat and
using visegrips to pull them. Will the check
balls be damaged by this heat? Do you sell
new nozzles or know who would? Also for
future reference, whats the cost of a trued
    and welded crank?...Thanks

I can't say I've ever heard that question before, and I have never had to heat them to pull them out, so I have no idea. Joe St. Louis will have a better answer about the valves, for you.

As far as the crank, we offer a trued and welded crank for $275. Our prices are always available in our Products section .here

      Pete,
I have bought oil injection nozzels in the past. they can be damaged when removing them. But, before you toss them, you can check them. Using a pressure pump ( like a pop off tester or mighty vac ) you pump until they pop off. They should pop off at 1.5 lbs. If they don't, replace them.
I bought mine from the Polaris dealer for $17 ea. retail.
SD may sell them now too, but they didn't when I bought mine.

What do you do with the stock butterflies? Do you re-install them as they were?

I sent the stock 38mm. "I" to Novi for mods.
I am assuming that they replace them with 42's, besides adding their "sonic booster"...
