Is it possible for that float to become saturated and not "float" anymore? I took the whole assembly out, then connected it back to the harness, rocked it back and forth to move the float, and the gage worked fine. back in the tank & it always registers empty. Can that float be purchased separately?

I HAVE A SIMILAR PROBLEM. GET THIS -- TWO (2) 2003 SEA-DOO GTI'S -- BOTH HAVE GAS GAUGE PROBLEMS. THEY BOTH NEVER READ OVER 1/2 TANK EVEN WHEN FULL.

THE LOCAL FIXIT-GUY SAYS 250.00 EA/500.00 BOTH TO REPLACE SENDER UNIT.

ANY SUGGESTIONS? I HATE HAVING TO ID FUEL LEVEL BY SEAT REMOVAL.

    Greg,

The part sells for about $120.. at Sea Doo and you need a screwdriver to replace it.

Do you think $250 per boat might be a little on the high side? I do.

    Why not DIY?

I agree Bill -- it's way too high.

I am a rank amateur with regard to pwc repair. Is this an easy fix?

Very easy fix if you remove the lower portion of the glove box.
