  • Inner Crank Seals - Sealing

    Hey Crew

When you put a 800SD crank in the cases do you seal the inner crank seals in the cases, ie: put some crankcase sealant in the locating grooves where the inner crank seals sit??

The reason why: to help eliminate air/oil leaking into the cylinders from the rotary valve shaft area.

    Thanks... :D

No, in fact, adding sealer at that area can actually cause a leak!
