question on impeller shaft seal removal

How the heck do you do it?

Is there a special tool to do it without taking out the bearings?

My manual says it can be done but does not describe how. I tried and ended up taking it to the shop to let them do it.

Just curious for future reference.....

I use a $10 tool called a "seal puller".
