The electric box (on top of the battery) on my 1994 SLT750 got wet. I dried it out but I still don't get any spark. The fuse in the box seems to check out ok, and the kill switch seems to be working correctly according to the ohm meter. Any ideas what to check for next?

How did you manage to get the elec box wet, on that model, you would have had to have an awful lot of water in the hull to cover the elec box. Did you forget to put the bail plug in, or more likely, you may have a cooling hose that is rubbed through. There are 2 or 3 places on the main cooling hose that get rubbed.
We used to see many people come in with a no spark complaint because they could not get the machine started, usually there was lots of spark, but they were lacking compression. Is there any way to check out the cdi other than replacing it?

compression is 100 at the back cylinder and 110 on the front 2.
I think I have a leak between the hull and top at the joint toward the back. I was sitting on the back talking to a friend for about an hour. When I tried to leave, I noticed the water (almost to the carbs), and immediately swam it to shore and drained. It started ok and made it back to the marina. About an hour later my daughter took it out, but it died within minutes. I got it restarted but it died on me as well. I was able to restart it a couple of times but it died as soon as the RPM dropped below 1500. After that, it wouldn't start at all. I towed it home, opened the electrical box and saw the water. I let it dry out but I can't seem to get any spark.

George, I checked the troubleshooting section of the Clymer manual for this. It lists the following as possibilities of your source:
-Engine Stop switch or connecting wires
-Loose connections
-Damaged ignition hi tension coil
-Broken or shorted spark plug hi tension lead
-CDI unit

cptn, I have worked on a couple Pol 3 seaters that have developed leaks in the rear at the bond line, I think its due to hull flex between the top and bottom. Put the bail plug in, tip the trailer up so that the rear of the boat is down and fill the hull with water until the bond line is covered. Look for water leaking out of the hull and repair as necc.you may have to remove the bumpers to get a good look at where its coming from. If it is from that areea, it is a pain in the but to fix.
