hey, i found some of those nifty solas grates ive heard so much about. theres an a model and b model. one is dual wing, and the other is a single wing that supposed to have a little more bite. which one yall think i hsould get? or should i go with something else like the 30 buck r&d?

i put a dual wing solas on the cane last year at the end of the season. Before that, I was runing the big wing R&D. The Solas seems to keep the pump loaded just as well as the R&D, but i think i gained .5 more on top with it.

I've got a UMI Racing grate up on ebay with less than 24 hours left on it. It's only at $10.00. Used it last year on my Pro 785. Bought a JD down in Havasu so I'm selling the UMI. It is an excellent intake grate. Check it out if you are interested. :D

how does it compare to lets say a solas or the r&d/polaris one? does it give you top end, or more low end hookup and less top end?

It is a hair more aggressive than the R&D one. I have no experience with Solas grates so I can't give you any comparison on that one. It looks real similar to the R&D except it doesn't have the gap in the middle of the scoop. It worked well on smooth and rough water without much of a decrease in top speed if any.

You are form Spirit Lake? I am from Sioux City and my family has a cabin at Lake Shetek, MN. Have you ever been to Shetek?

Yeah, I live in Spirit Lake. I've never been to Lake Shetek before. The only lake I've ever rode on in MN was Lake Pepin and that was at a regional race. I pretty much stick to the chain of lakes area for rec riding/race practice.

                      Nov785:

It will fit a 95 SLT750 I presume? What, if any benefits over the $29 polaris (R&D) grate?

                      Thanks
