  • SLT 780 Oil Smoke at idle

1996 SLT 780 Stock condition with 110 hours seems to have quite a lot of blue oil smoke during idle runs in no wake area. Seems to be much more than the other brand machines I see (no Polaris to compare with). I use Penzoil TWC3 full synthetic or synthetic blend without notable difference in smoke. On a calm day you can see smoke trail at no wake idle at least 100 yards away. Overall oil use seems to be about 40 gallons of gas to 1 gallon of oil which seem correct based on increased oil ratio at higher engine speed. Is the high level of oil smoke at idle normal or could variable oil rate injection system need adjustment or service. Thanks for any direction.
