  • help with a 1050 motor

Ok, here's the deal, my friend is looking to buy this SL 1050 and I just got back from test riding the ski. The engine starts and runs ok but when I pulled the plugs when I brought it back to the dock after riding it for a bit the front and rear spark plug were dry and kinda orangeish in color. Shoulden't it be brownish and a little oily? The middle plug looked kinda ok. Can the problem be with the carb settings? Thanks for the help, I haven't really worked on Polaris skis before. Does this sound like a fixable problem or should he stay away from this boat?

BR8ES, is that the right type of plug?

    BPR8ES is the correct plug.

The cars may need to be adjusted, but you need to run fuel withouth additives like the octane booster or drygas that's in that batch, that's what's giving your weird color. Some give a pink color, some give orange.
