1992 sl650 blown mag piston and rod

Bought a 1992 sl650 for a few bucks. Removed front head and discovered piston and crank are missing.

I'm guessing I found the failure. Bad connecting rod? Bent crank caused the failure?

Can I have the piston walls milled a bit and replace with new piston, crand and oversize rings?

Wondering where to start with this one...

First you need to locate a crank, either a core to exchange or a good one (I wouldn't trust it). You are looking at several hundred dollars at a minimum for parts alone.

If your cylinders can be cleaned up, sure you can oversize the pistons.
