I'm looking to purchased a used 2001 Virage...is the Polaris 700 a reliable engine? How much compression should it have? The owner has used the Polaris Blue oil..is this satisfactory? The craft has 27 hrs on it. Thanks.

the 700 is a decent engine but not real powerful. Make sure you have 140-150 compression in each cylinder and they should not vary more than 5psi between cylinders. The oil the previous owner used is what should be used.SBT Tech Support is here to help with your problems.
