High vol pump applic. for 650sl...

I am putting a triple feed mikuni pump on my old 650, just for added volume, but plan to leave as a single feed line to the carbs. Can I just cap the two unused feed lines on the pump by connecting them together with a short loop of hose? I was told I could do that and still get plenty of volume out of the single feed to supply this old boat - as it is a improvement over the OEM pump. Please comment. Thanks.

I would tee all three lines into one.
