• 900 zxi manual trim conversion

    Here we go!!

Is it possible to convert my 900 electric trim to a manual. Electrical I looked up the wires and according to the schematic it looks okay. But any ideas of how to get the manual part done. Doesn't yamaha have a manual that could work??? THanks for the info and help....Peter .....ps....One day I will be king of knowledge for the 900!!!

Well, you have two fairly easy options - one is to use the Yamama manual nozzle system. It works on a twist grip, cable and pulley system. You would need to find a place to hard mount the pulley in the hull, and rig a control cable to the nozzle. Possibly an easier solution would be to convert to a true trim tab system, using a fixed nozzle and metal hinged trim tabs on the bottom of the transon. I know they have pre-fitted kits for some ski, but I don't belive the ZXI hull is one of the options. You could always rig one yourself.
